Getting there

Alexandra Palace makes every effort to ensure that visitors can gain easy access.  Staff are available to help any visitors who require assistance.

Underground - Bus - Rail

Caledonian Road on the Piccadilly Line is the nearest accessible tube station; the station has lift access to street level.

The 259 bus route is accessible and runs from Kings Cross via Caledonian Road to Finsbury Park Station then take the W3 bus to Alexandra Palace.  Leave the W3 at the Palm Court entrance to the building; access to the Palace is via the slip road.

Kings Cross Station is the nearest accessible rail station with lift access to street level. Take the 259 bus to Finsbury Park then take the W3 bus to the main entrance of Alexandra Palace; the building is accessible via the slip road.

Parking - Ramps - WC

Spaces near to the entrances are reserved for easy access for visitors with mobility problems and are reserved for permit (badge) holders only. Access points are provided and the Palm Court (West) entrance to the Palace has automatic entry doors. Unisex WC with easy access are available throughout the venue.

First Aid - Medical Assistance

Qualified staff are on duty throughout all exhibitions held at Alexandra Palace.

Catering

All catering outlets provide services at ground level. The Palace Suite restaurant on the lower ground floor may be reached by lift and has an easy access WC nearby.

Assistance dogs

All assistance dogs are welcome at Alexandra Palace and water bowls are available on request.

Emergency

In the event of an emergency evacuation you will be directed to the nearest suitable exit.

Expo News 2011

On one of the hottest late-September weekends since records began the first Independent Education Expo took place in Alexandra Palace. For two days schools, as far and wide from Hampshire, Staffordshire and Scotland met the the hundreds of parents who visited the show.

It’s less than two weeks until the first Independent Education Expo takes place at Alexandra Palace.  We’re looking forward to meeting you and your family (don’t forget there is loads of children’s entertainment with Science Wizards and activities in and around Alexandra Palace).

It's a huge step in any young person's life. Leaving the structure and regimen of school life for the independence of the university environment can to unsettling. As parents, we worry. Will they find good friends and flatmates? Will they eat properly or stay up all night, surviving on a diet of ready meals and will they actually study? In short, can they adapt well to this new stage of their lives? Of course, if we could make it easier for them, we undoubtedly would.
